History/Physical:

35-year-old left-handed female.

Right facial pain over two years.

The lesion is heterogeneous on T2 (*). There is compression of the right cranial VII/VIII complex (arrow) in the cerebellopontine angle. There is mass effect on the right lower brainstem (arrowhead).

The lesion is in contact with the basilar artery (arrowhead). Note the normal appearance of the left cranial nerve VII/VIII complex (arrow).

On T1, the lesion is nearly isointense to CSF (*).
