54-year-old right-handed male.

Progressive ataxia over three months.

The posterior fossa mass has prominent vessels within (arrows).

The solid mass enhances avidly (*).

The mass is heterogenous on T2 (*).

Diagnosis: Hemangioblastoma

Variegated tumour with prominent vasculature.

Network of fine-calibre vessels and intervening stromal cells with foamy cytoplasm (arrow).

Selective expression of inhibin by stromal cells.

Extensive network of reticulin surrounding vessels and tumour cells.
