History/Physical:

29-year-old left-handed female.

Right facial numbness for one year.

On this thin section T2 image, the right cerebellopontine angle mass is well-defined but heterogeneous (*). There is mass effect on the pons (arrow) and right middle cerebellar peduncle (arrowhead).

The mass is hypointense on T1 (*).

The lesion has high signal on diffusion

Tx: Suboccipital craniectomy and resection of lesion.

Diagnosis: Epidermoid cyst

Thin-walled cyst with squamous lining (bottom) and abundant dry keratin.
