Compared to the unenhanced T1 image below, this image shows rim enhancement (arrowheads).  There is significant mass effect and subfalcine herniation (arrow).

The intrinsic T1 high signal is very bright, compatible with proteinaceous material.

The lesion is intra-axial - there is no cortex along the inner margin of the bilobed cystic lesion.  Vasogenic edema (arrows) and hydrocephalus (*) contribute to mass effect.
