35-year-old right-handed female.

Generalized tonic-clonic seizure.

Diagnosis: Dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumour (DNT)

Well-defined cortical lesion with somewhat trabecular architecture (arrows show brain:tumour interface).

Higher magnification of the "specific glio-neuronal element" with "oligodendroglial-like cell" islands (*) and interposed neurons (arrowhead).

Neuronal elements (arrow) express protein gene product 9.5 (PGP 9.5).
