Case 062

Much of the lesion has been resected. This post-op scan shows a wedge-shaped defect in the right frontal lobe (*).  The cortex posterior to the resection margin is nodular (arrows).  The cortex of the left cerebral hemisphere is normal (arrowheads).

Abnormal cortex is present posterior to the resection marging (arrows).

There is abnormal cortex involving the right parietal lobe (arrows).

The cortical ribbon has an irregular thickness and and undulating border (arrow) with subjacent white matter (staining blue with a myelin stain).
